Peterson is a researcher in the ABC Expeditions project, in the field of botany.
Peterson Campos has a degree in Ecology from the Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho”, Rio Claro campus (UNESP), a Master’s in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA, 2017) and is currently a PhD candidate in Biological Sciences (Botany) at INPA. He works in studies on the flora of vegetation in sandy soils of the Amazon, campinas and campinaranas and also in the area of ecology, with emphasis on plant succession, forest restoration and interspecific associations and in the area of wilderness management (Nature Conservation Units), and in the area of botany with floristics and phytosociology.
