Juliana Schietti

Juliana is Co-I and a collaborator in the ABC Expeditions project, in the field of botany.

Juliana Schietti holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Londrina (UEL, 2002), Master’s (2005) and PhD in Ecology from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA, 2013). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) and Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and Productivity Fellow (PQ2) of CNPq. She advises on the permanent body of Post-Graduate Programs in Ecology and Forest Sciences at INPA and the Post-Graduate Program in Forestry and Environmental Sciences at UFAM. She has experience in plant ecology of communities and ecosystems and functional ecology of plants. Her research deals with the structure, diversity and dynamics of forests, functional characteristics of plants and their relationships with environmental gradients.
