Ítalo is a researcher in the ABC Expeditions project, in the field of botany.

Ítalo Silva Duarte has a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). He is currently a Master's student in the Graduate Program in Genetics, Conservation and Evolutionary Biology of the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA). He has experience in the following areas: analysis of water quality, collection and identification of zooplankton and aquatic plants, production of native seedlings of the Cerrado/Pantanal and population genetics of Aedes aegypti.
