He is a collaborator in the ABC Expeditions project, in the field of myrmecology.
Rogério Rosa da Silva holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC, 1994), Master’s in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the University of São Paulo (USP, 1999), PhD in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the University of São Paulo (2004). He completed post-doctoral studies at the Museum of Zoology, USP (2006-2009) and FAPESP Young Researchers in Emerging Centers (2010-2013). He has experience in ecology, with emphasis on community ecology, working mainly on the following topics: diversity and taxonomy of ants, guild structure, morphological diversity and phylogenetic diversity of ants. He is currently Associate Researcher III at the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG), coordinator of Earth Sciences and Ecology, vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Evolution of MPEG, member of the committee of the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation of MPEG and member of the committee on Ethics in Human Research at MPEG.
