Gabriela Zuquim

Gabriela de Paula Souza Zuquim holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2003), a Master’s degree in Tropical Forest Ecology from the National Institute for Amazon Research (INPA, 2006) and a PhD from the University of Turku, Finland (2015). She is carrying out a post-doctoral project on species distribution of pteridophytes in the Amazon. She published a guide and an online key for identification of ferns and lycophytes of the Amazon and several articles in national and international journals. She has experience in ecology, with emphasis on community ecology, working mainly on the following topics: pteridophytes, Amazon, edaphic factors and diversity patterns.
