Felipe is a researcher in the ABC Expeditions project, responsible for soil sampling, forest carbon, functional diversity of hyperdominant trees in the Amazon and support in sampling the vegetation structure with LIDAR (light detection and ranging) technology.
Felipe Marciniak has a degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT, 2015), a Master's in Tropical Forest Sciences (Plant Ecology), from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA). He has experience in forest ecology, with emphasis on inventory and forest dynamics, functional ecology of trees, and biomass and forest carbon. He is currently a collaborator researcher (non-employee) at INPA, in the laboratory of biodiversity and functional ecology.
